13.Do I need any travel documents?

  Yes. You will need a valid passport and a Medical Tourism Visa, which is issued to foreign patients and family members who travel to Korea to use the services of domestic medical centers and facilities for medical treatment and care. IMS will be more than happy to help you with this.

14.How far is it from North America? 

  Geographically, Korea is easily accessible from anywhere in the world. Flight distance can be as less than 8 hours from the West Coast. Direct flights are available from major cities in North America and Europe.

15.Who will be my spokesperson during my trip?

  Every patient will be assigned to a medical tourism coordinator (MTC) who can speak English, and the medical staff at your hospital will take care of all the details of your trip from the day you arrive to the day you leave.

  • Pre surgical consultations
  • Transportation to and from the Airport and Hotel
  • Pre-examination fees in relation to the operation
  • Surgeon and Anesthetist fees in relation to the operation
  • Diagnostic and therapeutic service costs during the medical treatment

18.What does the cost for surgical procedure excludes?

 
  • Any drugs prescribed following the patient’s discharge from the hospital
  • Any services relating to any complications that arise that are not related to your surgical treatment.
  • Any services relating to unexpected major complications that arise during the patient’s operation, which necessitates the patient’s transfer to the Internal or External Specialized Intensive Care Unit.
  • Any costs in regard to a longer length of hospitalization in relation to the patient’s surgical treatment and decided for between patient and surgeon.
  • Any personal phone calls or other expenses from your hotel
  • Any personal shopping expenses after discharging from the hospital
